Hospitals in the UK now have to meet HTM05-03. This piece of legislation governs the Fire Safety of all Fabrics and textiles in the hospital – not only in terms of the actual fire resistance capabilities, but also the assessment of fire risk, testing, logging and auditing of the program. Many EU Member States are looking to adopt HTM05-03 in their own countries.
No-Burn has been at the forefront of
fabric fire safety for many years, with particular emphasis on the ‘program’ element of designing and implementing a ‘system’ which satisfies the concerns of Fire Depts and Health & Safety Departments. The method we employ removes the burden of compliance from the Hospital, and minimises patient/operational disruption, and of course minimises the cost implications.
Non-compliance can not only cause financial penalties and and potential closure but could also invalidate insurance coverage in the event of a Fire.
